A good tutor never hands you the answer

That kind of tutor costs $200 an hour. Click, our SAT tutor, costs almost nothing: it listens while you talk through a question, then finds the exact step that broke.

An average student given a one-on-one tutor ends up ahead of 98% of a regular classroom. Researchers proved that in 1984. The price is what finally changed. Read why we built this

Meet Click

Your tutor is a cursor.
And it argues back.

A push-to-talk Socratic tutor for the Digital SAT. You talk your reasoning out loud, and Click coaches the steps that got you there, never just the final answer. You do the thinking, so it sticks.

What Click does

  • Catches the exact step your reasoning broke, not just the wrong answer
  • Asks one sharp question, then waits for you to talk it out
  • Names the trap you fell for, and credits what you got right
  • Eases off as you improve: models it, guides you, then lets you fly

What it won’t

  • Hand you the answer
  • Lecture, or play you a video
  • Let you nod along without really getting it

YouI guessed “however.” It just sounded right.

“Do these two sentences clash, or does the second one build on the first?”

Or practice one skill.

Pick a skill: the whole session stays inside it, easy to hard.

04

Your plan. Tomorrow’s quiz is built overnight from all of it, timed to catch what you’re about to forget.

Common questions

Straight answers before you start.

How is this different from Khan Academy or free practice?
Most SAT prep is passive: you watch a video or read the explanation and nod along. StudyHall makes you do the reasoning out loud and pushes back when it is shaky, the way a real tutor would. The daily practice is free forever; the tutor that argues with you and the full mock exams are the part worth paying for.
Does talking through the answer out loud actually help?
It is one of the most reliable findings in learning science. Explaining your own reasoning, and being asked “why,” instead of being handed the answer, is what moves you from recognizing a right answer to being able to produce one under pressure. The whole session is built around that loop.
Is it built for the new Digital SAT?
Yes. Every one of our 1,879 questions across 30 skills is written for the Digital SAT, the shorter adaptive test, not the old paper one.
Can I really use it for free?
Yes, no card to start. The daily quiz, all 1,879 practice questions, every lesson’s worked example, and your progress tracking are free. Pro ($7.99/week) unlocks the voice tutor, and it bills weekly so you can turn it on just for the weeks before your test.
Do I have to talk out loud?
No. You can type every answer and every reply instead. The Socratic back-and-forth works the same either way, voice just makes it faster and closer to a real tutoring session.
Are you affiliated with the College Board?
No. StudyHall is independent, and the College Board does not sponsor or endorse us. SAT is their trademark. Our questions are original, written and reviewed to match the real test’s skills and difficulty, never copied from it.
